ARTIST PROFILE: Tyler Mellecker

Often described as what you’d get if a boy band member collided with the cast of Jersey Shore, Tyler brings a vibrant, genre-blending presence to today’s pop-rock scene.

His sound is best captured as the fusion of Blink-182 and New Found Glory’s punk energy with the polished vocal stylings of Shawn Mendes—catchy, anthemic, and undeniably radio-ready.

Tyler’s passion for music ignited early, thanks to his parents’ influence. His father introduced him to R&B during car rides around town, while his mother took him to his first concert at just 10 years old—featuring Alkaline Trio and My Chemical Romance. From that moment, he was hooked. The household soundtrack was filled with pop staples, especially Savage Garden, whose melodic hooks left a lasting impression. Even today, Tyler can’t cook without music playing in the background.

Growing up, Tyler was constantly involved in bands, gaining valuable experience and refining his musical direction. Eventually, he found his path as a solo artist. After a hiatus to focus on academics and athletics, Tyler reconnected with peers in the industry and quickly gained momentum. Known for his infectious choruses and emotionally charged lyrics, his music has been praised as “radio-ready anthems” in the pop and pop-rock space. He cites artists like Blackbear, Ronnie Radke (Falling in Reverse), and Jordan Pundik (New Found Glory) as key influences.

Tyler’s creative process is uniquely high-energy. He begins each session with a one-mile run to clear his mind and raise his heart rate. Channeling that adrenaline, he crafts melodies meant to feel like a sugar rush—bright, euphoric, and unstoppable.

His co-writing talents have earned him placements on both Billboard and UK charts, ultimately leading to a signing with Goldens Music Management. He has collaborated with over 50 artists, with sound credits including Blackbear, Tate McRae, Gracie Abrams, Machine Gun Kelly, Demi Lovato, 5 Seconds of Summer, LANY, and more.

When asked what drew him to playing bass, Tyler explained:

“Listen to a song in your car without the bass on. Now turn the bass up—feel how much better it sounds. It’s a whole different experience. You make that face, your head starts nodding, your body moves, and you never know what’s coming next.”

Looking ahead, Tyler is set to continue working alongside some of the biggest names in music. His songs tap into universal emotions—joy, excitement, nostalgia—and in doing so, bring people closer together.
